Wayfoward has finally given us a release date on the Director’s Cut of Shantae: Risky’s Revenge for Wii U, at least for Europe. PC, iOS, and PS4 have already had the Director’s Cut for quite some time, but now Europe will be able to download it from the Wii U eShop come March 24.
In case you’re wondering what’s different in the Director’s Cut over the original, the biggest difference would be the addition of Magic Mode. After clearing the game the first time, you can start a new file using Shantae’s Dancer Costume, which reduces defense, making you take more damage, but also lessens magic consumption. Besides an improved map and warp system, there isn’t much else different.
Perhaps we’ll see it hit the US eShop soon as well.
