During the 11.2.2016 Animal Crossing Direct, several features are shown off and are available right now. You can watch the full direct below.

To download the update, head the eShop and download Animal Crossing: New Leaf Update Ver. 1.4 for free. 2,107 Blocks are required.

After downloading the update, you can head right into the game. You’ll know the update is working if the title screen is adorned with a “Welcome amiibo” banner. As you may have guessed, the update adds functionality for amiibo, but it also adds a few other updates.

Your town will have a new drive-in campground where you can spend MEOW coupons on furniture. You can invite villagers with amiibo cards, play mini games with the newly added Wii U item, and get some extra storage space by adding “Secret Storage” to your house from Tom Nook. Additionally, you can now organize your house with the touch screen, the same way it works in Happy Home Designer. Also, if you have save data with Happy Home Designer, you can link it with New Leaf and unlock 20 giant furniture items to purchase with bells.

Quite a sizable update for an “old” game, especially considering it’s free.
